Girls Varsity Soccer

On Tuesday January 22, 2019, the Girls Varsity Soccer Team played a scrimmage against Alief Hastings. In the end, the Lady Broncos weren’t able to win and lost 9-2.

Even though the team was losing, it didn’t stop them from putting up a fight.

“I am so proud of our Lady Broncos for putting in so much effort into the game. Throughout the game they continued to put a fight never losing hope, and taking risks in order to score” junior Nadia Syed said.

The two goals scored in the game were by freshman Joanna Patarroyo and junior Genesis Coto.

“Joanna’s goal in the beginning of the game was an amazing start to the game,” said Syed.

With this defeat the Lady Broncos hope to keep improving in order to win their district games.

“I think the they should work on having more field control and to learn to play their positions,” junior Farah Omari said.

“I believe they should work on having better communication when calling for the ball and having midfield push up so they don’t leave only one person to score,” junior Catherinne Torres said.

The Lady Broncos will kick off district on January 25, 2019 against Clements High School so, don’t forget to show your support.
